We are here for the long haul
Acquired by our shareholders in 1978, the company was renamed and restructured as Tyrolean Airways in 1979. At first, we combined airline, air ambulance and business jet as well as helicopter operations. Today, we exclusively focus on international business & private jet travel.
Private jet travel is taking off
In 1980, a 48 seat de Havilland Canada Dash 7 was the first to operate scheduled flights from Innsbruck to Vienna and Zurich. Within the first year, 38,500 passengers booked flights with our private charter jets.
Taking TJS to the next level
With the extension of our fleet in 1985, we outsourced all business aviation, air ambulance and helicopter operations and renamed them Tyrolean Jet Services, Tyrolean Air Ambulance and Heli Air Transport. The latter was sold in 1995.
Expanding our operations
After all ambulance operations were sold to another ownership in 1999, Tyrolean Jet Services was responsible for the corporate flight department of its ownership, frequent worldwide air charter operations and aircraft management for 3rd party clients. We also launched Aircraft Management Services.
Buckling up the fleet
Offering three different AOCs – Austria, Malta and San Marino – Aircraft Management by TJS extended the Fleet with Aircraft ranging from Beechcraft KingAir, Bombardier Globals, Gulfstream G550 and 650ER, Dassault Falcons as well as Airbus ACJ318 and ACJ319 VVIP business jet aircraft.
From Tyrol to the world
Today, we exclusively focus on international business & private jet travel. Our unique fleet of business jets includes Cessna Citations Jets, Citation XLS+ and Embraer Phenom Aircraft.
